Business Development Manager | Biologics | North Carolina

Charlotte, NC US

Industry: Sales Manager/Director/VP Job Number: 2393

Job Description

Business Development Manager | Biologics | North Carolina

This is your opportunity to join a groundbreaking biologics company! As the Business Development Manager for North Carolina, you will be working directly with orthopedic & neurosurgical spine surgeons and independent distributors on a daily basis while selling the company’s regenerative biologic portfolio. Your ability to independently prioritize and execute your daily activities with minimal supervision from upper management will be a major indicator for your success with this company.

You will also be overseeing certain independent distributor relationships in the state, providing sales training and sales strategy to their salesforces as needed to help you hit your region’s goal. You should expect each day working here to be a blend of distributor management, key surgeon relationship building, identifying and closing new leads, and providing case coverage to surgeons when needed.

To succeed in this role, you must have at least 2 years of medical device sales experience. You’ll be even better prepared for this job if you’ve sold to spine surgeons and know the major names in the industry. If you have previously worked with independent distributors, that experience will prove invaluable here. Expect to travel frequently throughout the region to visit key accounts and new prospects.

It’s important that you have at least a baseline familiarity with bone graft substitutes and/or spinal implants.  You should be comfortable working with surgeons in the operating room and your ability to sell in hospitals should be a given. A bachelor’s degree is expected, especially in a scientific discipline, although commensurate industry experience is acceptable as well.
