Job Description

This role will require relocation to the Southern California area (assistance is provided). Candidates should expect to travel nationwide up to 50% of the time in this role.

This Vice President of Business Development is key commercial hire for a growing orthopedic & spine biologics manufacturer managing a combination direct/distribution sales force throughout the US. We're offering a strong compensation package ($250K+Bonus/Options) as well as the opportunity to make an immediate impact defining overall national account strategy in a growing startup environment. Qualified candidates will be spine or orthopedic sales management veterans with significant experience negotiating contracts with IDNs and GPOs.



  • Drive the company's sales efforts by developing and managing a blend of direct sales representatives and distribution channels.
  • Lead from the front by developing strategic commercial plans and implementing them alongside the direct sales team.
  • Define and manage the overall national accounts and IDN/GPO contracting strategy.



  • 15+ years of progressive success in either spine, orthopedics, or orthobiologics sales.
  • Strong previous experience in contract negotiation with IDNs and GPOs.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage both independent distributors and direct sales representatives.


Salary: $250k+ (Bonus/Options)
Travel: 50%

Education: BS/BA Minimum, MBA Preferred
