The Reimbursement Manager is responsible for providing reimbursement education and support to sales personnel and customers which include: physicians, nurses, hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, patients and payers, as well as serving as an expert in payer policies and providing support to facilitate appropriate patient access and utilization of services to ensure their access to care via prior authorization process.


Position Responsibilities

  • Conduct training both in person and by telephone with new accounts on reimbursement procedures, including billing and coding guidelines.
  • Manage reimbursement programs to increase private and Medicare payer access
  • Support Territory Managers in meeting the needs of customers, which include, reimbursement process, economic models and/or responding to customer inquiries.
  • Develop key relationships within the payer and provider communities to increase collaboration, support coverage policy and improve reimbursement for company
  • Serve as a technical expert, in government reimbursement policies and areas of third party reimbursement, and a source for reimbursement information for internal and external customers.
  • Provide input to Customer Care Director to work directly with public and private payers and drive reimbursement strategy for new and existing therapies.
  • Monitor pertinent Medicare and private payer reimbursement policies that could have a significant impact to the company technology.
  • Implement processes and provide input to the development of reimbursement tools for internal and external customers.

Position Requirements

  • 8 or more years of professional experience in the medical device industry, specifically working with Type III medical devices, and including at least 6 years of reimbursement support experience
  • Prior experience in medical device
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA and Reimbursement Policies
  • Experience with multiple payers, especially Medicare, is required
  • Must be able to travel up to 30%
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of medical device environment (government and private payers) which includes coding, coverage and payment; how to develop, implement and manage reimbursement support programs.
  • Ability to work independently to develop effective reimbursement/technical customer support strategies and support programs.
  • Prior authorization experience preferred.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required
  • Advanced degree preferred

This entrepreneurial medical device organization, has a strong portfolio of innovative implants, with exception IP around the technology, and is seeking a strong Director of Field operations, logistics, and supply chain. They will have full responsibility and management, of inventory tracking, customer support, distribution needs, operational oversight, and cost initiatives. We are seeking both a strategic leader, and a tactical manager. This company, is in need to supporting the vast demand or their products, and are in expansion mode.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support Sales force Objectives, and Field Sales Logistics.
  • Managed the inventory process, analyze metrics to better quantify strategic improvements.
  • Identify Strategic growth opportunities, and maintain strong relationships with Distribution and Field Management base.
  • Manage customer service team, and implement best practice.
  • Perform troubleshooting procedures to identify and resolve problems quickly and with confidence. 
  • Define targets and make recommendations to executive management

 

Position Requirements:

  • Clinical experience; at least 2 years of experience working in orthopedics or spine
  • Have managed field inventory, sales operations, and customer support.
  • 8 to 15+years of experience in spinal or orthopedic sales capacity
  • Previous success in orthopedic, sport medicine, or spinal implant company.
  • Highly preferred previous management, and tactical execution in smaller or mid-sized company.


Educational Requirements:

  •  BS/BA in Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, or Associates or equivalent experience.

<![CDATA[Director of Operations]]> As Director of Operations and Manufacturing for an innovative medical device company, you will be responsible for providing overall direction and guidance to the manufacturing activities with the objective of maximizing growth and profitability. This position provides day-to-day leadership and management to the manufacturing functions at the company's facility in the Bay area. 

This created role requires a charismatic and STRONG LEADER who will function as the leader for custom manufacturing utilizing 3D scanning and printing. 

You will need to be tech savvy, decisive, a strong influencer and have a business and financial acumen to support your recommendations in a very complex environment.
 


Position requirements

  • Manages organization operations by directing and coordinating manufacturing activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies
  • Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and supply chain activities
  • Ensures that as the company grows, manufacturing capabilities meet or exceed all industry and customer requirements for cost, quality and responsiveness
  • Implements improved manufacturing processes and management methods to generate higher ROI and workflow optimization.
  • Works with Manufacturing Engineering to establish manufacturing standards for cost control and waste reduction, spearhead the design, development, communication and execution of “lean” manufacturing culture and processes, and implement manufacturing best practices, such as 5S lean manufacturing.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and prepares reports, records, and directives, and confers with managers/supervisors to obtain data required for manufacturing planning activities, such as new commitments, status of work in progress, and problems encountered. 

Qualifications:

  • 10 - 15 years experience in manufacturing / operations with progressive growth in responsibiliy.
  • 5 years in similar role in a med device, life science or OEM manufacturing company
  • Familiarity with 3D printing and 3D scanning
  • Line management, discrete manufacturing, and manufacturing engineering or quality engineering experience preferred
  • Experience in lean/continuous improvement leadership roles and strong knowledge of MRP and ISO systems and processes
  • Practical project management experience 

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Engineering, or Manufacturing related field.
  • Masters and/or MBA strongly preferred

Location:  San Jose

Direct Reports: Responsible for 30-40 people total ?CA             

Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Travel:   As needed
