Mechanical Engineer - Drug Delivery Devices - South Carolina – 1477380 

Our client, with a revolutionary drug delivery device, is seeking an early-career Mechanical Engineer! This is an opportunity to grow with this entrepreneurial company and gain hands-on experience. In this role, you will be working on all stages of the mechanical engineering process, supporting design projects, conducting failure analysis, and coming up with corrective actions, and overseeing the development of prototypes.  

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. 
• 2+ years of experience as a mechanical engineer in medical device.
• Previous experience using SolidWorks, GD&T, and Minitab. 
• Experience using commercial finite element analysis (FEA) software is strongly preferred. 

Responsibilities:  

• Work with a tenured team on hands-on design improvement projects and Design for Manufacturing (DFM). 
• Create and workshop requirements, test methods, and fixtures to conduct safety tests to verify designs. 
• Conduct failure analysis on devices to determine the root cause and work through corrective actions. 
• Support and oversee the development of prototypes, from concept to physical development. 
• Ensure the design process is well documented through each step.  
• Perform design transfer to manufacturing.   

Compensation: $90,000-$110,000 based on experience, plus bonus and equity 

Travel: Minimal
