Job Description
Join our client’s dynamic team as a Mechanical Engineer at a cutting-edge medical device manufacturing company! Bring your 3+ years of experience designing and manufacturing opto-mechanical assemblies to a collaborative and public organization. Preferred Qualifications:
- This is a unique opportunity flexible to varying levels of experience.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering for a Mechanical Engineer.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer.
- 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering for a Principal Mechanical Engineer.
- BS required; MS preferred.
- Design experience in heavily regulated industries like medical or military.
- Previous experience working with a broad range of metal and optical component fabrication and metrology methods.
- Required skills including but not limited to:
- Solid modeling CAD tools specifically either ProEngineer or SolidWorks.
- Deep understanding of design dimensioning and tolerancing methods and conventions.
- Fundamental modeling and analytical understanding of static and dynamic mechanical properties.
- Specification of electro-mechanical mechanisms and components.
Responsibilities:
- Opto-mechanical and mechanical concept development.
- System architecture design.
- System trade-off analysis.
- Requirements definition and flow down.
- Test and evaluation of mechanical performance parameters at both the component and system level.
- Utilizing outstanding communication skills to convey technical ideas to both the customer community and engineering peers.
